Handling
a Lost/Stolen or Found
Keypad
If you have lost your keypad, or if you believe your keypad was
stolen, there are three steps you should take:
Step 1:
Lost/Stolen keypads: Email clickers@umd.edu. Please tell us when you purchased the clicker, the model (RF or XR) when you registered it, where you lost it or it was stolen. Please also provide the clicker ID number if you have it (if someone else hasn't registered it, you should still see the number in the clicker registration module at my.umd.edu).
Found keypads: Call the helpdesk or turn in the keypad to the student helpdesk or the Center for Teaching Excellence (0405 Marymount Hall). They will be able to trace the clicker to the registered owner.
Step 2:
Purchase a new
keypad from the University Book Center. Clickers may be purchased at the Student Union bookstore or from the TurningPoint web site http://he-ecommerce-v.turningtechnologies.com
Step 3:
Register your new
keypad.
| Note:
Step no 1 is extremely important to prevent the misuse of
the clicker. |
